Read Our BTS Map Of The Soul: Persona Review

The ridiculously highly anticipated release from one of, if not the biggest acts in the world right now, has finally arrived! The South Korean seven-piece boyband that is BTS (also known as the Bangtan Boys) has released their brand new EP Map of the Soul: Persona, consisting of seven new songs. We've waited long enough, let's just get to it shall we?
The opening track features a solo song from our leader RM. "Persona" was the first song/trailer BTS and BigHit dropped since announcing the new album weeks ago and serves as the perfect intro, hyping up the ARMY with its catchy production, it's electric!
On the albums second song, we see international pop superstar Halsey hop on for "Boy With Luv." Will this be the fan favorite? On first listen I have to admit I'm absolutely hooked, between the chorus and their harmonization, it's all so sweet, a shimmering concoction of ear-candy if you will. As if the song isn't brilliant enough on its own, they dropped a video that's equally as sweet, the choreography, the colors, it all comes together leaving fans like kids in a candy store, I want it all!
The boys slow things down slightly on "Mikrokosmos," a whimsical track that casts a spell on listeners once the chorus hits, it's simple yet effective. Their next record "Make It Right" has been especially highly anticipated since reports surfaced that Ed Sheeran had a hand in co-writing the song. One listen to "Make It Right" and you can hear it, it's really quite good.
On "Home," the boys give us a sleek and sunny record that leans on urban vibes, it's said the song was written especially for the fans. Slowing things down again, "Jamais Vu" is an absolutely beautiful ballad that still has me shook, another album personal album highlight for me. Wrapping things up, "Dionysus" is a proper closer as it brings all of the energy from the rest of the album together to leave fans on an uplifting note.
Map of the Soul: Persona connects their past and the present, showcasing their electrifying progression since the release of their 2013 debut. If you aren't a part of the Army yet, this could be the album that has the masses lining up to sign up.
