Sum 41 Kicks Off 2019 Tour With Live Debut of "Out For Blood"

Sum 41 have commenced their US Spring 2019 tour which kicked off at Sabroso Festival in Salt Lake City, Utah with a 13-song setlist, and then was followed by a set at Band Splash in Tempe, Arizona, where they live debuted their new single "Out for Blood" off their forthcoming album Order in Decline.

Their SLC set was atypical of a festival set, where they performed hits from their massive catalog, including "Over My Head (Better Off Dead)," "Motivation," "In Too Deep," and "Fat Lip." They also impressed fans by tacking on intros and outros of famous songs, like a jam of "Paranoid" by Black Sabbath at the end of "No Reason" and an intro of "Another Brick in the Wall" by Pink Floyd before "Fake My Own Death." Additionally, they covered Queen's "We Will Rock You."

Sum 41's new album will be out this summer, July 19th. Derek Whibley said in a statement:

“The last thing I wanted to do was write a social or political protest record, and Order In Decline is not that. It’s also very hard not to have feelings about everything that’s going on in the world.”

The album will be released while they are on an inaugural Rockstar Energy Drink Disrupt touring festival. They also just announced a headlining UK tour with support from Yours Truly following the spring tour. Check out all the tour dates, below!
