Coachella's tradition of surprise special guests continued as you may have heard when Billie Eilish joined Lana Del Rey on Friday of Weekend One at the polo fields in Indio.
But that wasn't the only fun pairing. Each day one star bigger than the next appeared on the many stages of Coachella, including Paris Hilton.
Here are a short list of some music makers who popped in to say hi to the crowd.
YG Marley & Miss Lauryn Hill & Wyclef & Busta Rhymes

One of the mysteries of Coachella lineup this year was YG Marley's name. The 22 year-old's debut single "Praise Jah in the Moonlight" is only a few months old, and don't bother looking for his name in our database because it sure seems like he's never performed a big show before.
True, the sweet reggae song co-written by his mom, Ms. Lauryn Hill, entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart at #74, making him the sixth member of the Marley family to get on that prized list. He joined his grandfather Bob, and other relatives Ziggy, Ky-Mani, Damian "Jr. Gong" and Skip.
So once he played the tune, what was he going to do with the other 45 minute set? Turned out YG was a Lauryn Hill Trojan Horse. The best kind.

After performing two songs he brought out his mom who did not leave. Which appears to have been the plan all along.
Recently YG has been on the road with her on The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill 25th Anniversary Tour where he is part of her ensemble.
"So YG, before you were born, we used to do something like this," she told him on stage at Coachella.
She then broke into "Killing Me Softly With His Song" and then introduced Wyclef Jean from the group that made her world famous, The Fugees. Busta Rhymes soon came out for a pair of songs, and soon the set was Bob Marley covers. Quite the surprise for the energetic souls who made it to the fairgrounds early Sunday afternoon.
Jhene Aiko & Tyga & Saweetie & Omarion & Big Sean
What's better than bringing out one great guest? How about four?
The adorable Jhene Aiko who just may have won best-dressed, also had the coolest assortment of co-stars when one after another she was visited by Tyga, Saweetie, Omarion, Big Sean.
The talented singer, who has even recorded R&B music to help babies sleep, didn't need all that firepower but got it. And it was as beautiful and subtle as her style.
Renee Rapp & Kesha
Is Kesha a psychic? She wrote her debut single, "Tik Tok," seven years before the social media time suck TikTok would be released. In the song she sings about waking up feeling (cool?) like P Diddy.
During last year's tour she has changed the line to celebrate herself instead. “Wake up in the morning feeling just like me.”
Now that Diddy is in hot water, when Kesha was asked by Rapp to join her at Coachella, she changed that opening line again.
“Wake up in the morning like fuck P. Diddy," she yelled to the Coachella crowd, who ate it up.
Bizarrap & Shakira
In the middle of the Argentinian DJ's 22-track set, a vision appeared behind him: Shakira on a rising platform.
Then she live debuted "La fuerte," the new single she co-produced with Bizarrap from her new album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran (Women No Longer Cry).
Then they delivered "BZRP Music Sessions #53" (Bizarrap wastes zero time thinking up titles), which earned them two Latin Grammys last year including Song of the Year, and went #1 in 16 countries.
So in retrospect, of course she was going to be at Coachella to support him and sing their huge song.
No Doubt & Olivia Rodrigo
There's no one who belonged at Coachella 2024 more than Olivia Rodrigo. She was born and raised an hour away from Indio. At 21-years-old she's exactly the correct age.
And word is she has her drivers license - fitting since this was the first year Coachella allowed drinking-age adults with the proper ID to roam the fest with a cocktail instead of being restricted to beer tents and drinking cages far from the action.
But with one of the hottest albums and tours in recent years, she also belonged on that stage.
So what a delight and surprise it was when she joined another Southern Californian, Gwen Stefani, to sing "Bathwater," a song that came out three years before Olivia was born.
Guess we were right back in October when we noticed Olivia had a Coachella-sized hole in her schedule :)
J Balvin & Will Smith
J Balvin had a whole UFO-theme set on Sunday, which was cool, but why?
That question was answered Will Smith came out and sang the "Men In Black" song in the suit and everything. But did he? The memory has faded for some reason.
Vampire Weekend & Paris Hilton & Honest Abe
Vampire Weekend, who released their fifth album last week, was a surprise addition to the Coachella lineup when Goldenvoice added their name to the set times on Tuesday.
"One week ago today, we didn't know we were going to be here, and you didn't know we were going to be here," singer Ezra Koenig told the jubilant fans at the Outdoor Theatre. "I was sitting at home in Weimar, Texas, sipping Ranch Waters and looking at wildflowers and I got the text saying 'Can you come to the festival.' I called the boys and it was a busy week, but we made our way out here."
Along the way they dialed up Paris Hilton and the US's 16th president, who helped spice up their set with some cornhole tosses. Paris looked amazing, but Abe sure knew how to handle that bean bag.
