Only a fool would believe Weekend Two of Coachella is a vastly inferior product.
There are so many reasons to choose the second weekend over the first. There tends to be fewer people, so there's more space in the crowd and shorter lines for Spicy Pie. Hotel and rental property deals are a smidge easier to find.
And of course those who don't mind reading spoilers in places like setlist.fm can put together a perfect gameplan for getting the most out of the wristband.

But sometimes the surprises are even more surprising because rarely do special guests return for the second weekend.
So here are some magic moments that took place last weekend that could cause weekend one attendees for getting FOMO.
Jelly Roll joined Post Malone for "Losers"
If there was an ironic theme song for Post Malone and Jelly Roll's co-headlining tour, it would be their duet "Losers."
The sentimental single from Posty's F-1 Trillion taps in to both tattoo-faced rappers' (who also have one foot in Country) wholesomeness and love for Joe Sixpack.
“Come kick it with the losers / The outcasts and the sinners / The ain't-never-been-no-winners / Let's hear it for the losers.”
The pair live debuted the song last year at Madison Square Garden. Many expected that moment to be repeated last weekend, but when Posty brought out zero guests, having Jelly appear weekend two was a beautiful shock.
Post Malone and Jelly Roll's Big Ass Stadium Tour kicks off next month in Vegas. Tix available on Post's website.
Ed Sheeran joined Post Malone for "Sunflower"
It's no secret that Ed Sheeran loves playing on stage with big stars. It seems like yesterday that he and Eminem performed in Detroit and then played with 50 Cent.
Sunday night (4/20) everyone's lovable ginger jumped on stage with Post Malone for "Sunflower," which was originally a collab with Swae Lee.
Maybe going forward Posty can have other big guests do those verses with him. See who can out do each other.
Ed entertains crowds in the Middle East starting next month and then he's off to Europe. Get your tickets on the Ed Sheeran website.
Dave Grohl rocks with Gustavo Dudamel and the LA Phil
Roll over, Beethoven - after blasting out a grand version of Ludwig Von's "Fifth," the drummer of Nirvana strolled out with his guitar to warm applause.
Then he belted out "The Sky is a Neighborhood" accompanied by not only the orchestra, but an excitable horn section and a dozen gospel singers. Have we been taking Dave's pipes for granted?
It was followed by a beautifully re-arranged symphonic supplemented "Everlong" which begs the question: when will the Foos tour with such a wonderful collab?
The Phil are back in LA for performances at the Disney and the Hollywood Bowl. Tickets available on their website.
Cynthia Erivo performed "Purple Rain" with the LA Phil
Elphaba Thropp will return to the big screen when part two of Wicked comes out in November. So what's a girl to do in the summer?
Gustavo Dudamel had the Grammy, Emmy & Tony winner close out his second set at his first Coachella with two numbers: Cynthia's live debut of "Brick by Brick" followed by an uplifting version of Prince's "Purple Rain."
The daunting cover is one she fearlessly sang as an encore after the curtain call a decade ago when she was in the Broadway revival of The Color Purple. The cast would join her (as would the audience, occasionally) for a touching way to send everyone home.
Likewise it was an ideal way for Dudamel to conclude he and the Phil's foray into Indio.
Charli XCX's reaction to Green Day's reaction to Charli
In true brat fashion, Charli XCX wore a "Miss Should Be A Headliner" sash at her weekend one afterparty. Was she pouting that Green Day was the Saturday headliner on the main stage? Was she venting at opening for the pop group at a scene that you'd think leans more to her vibe than theres?
Or was it just a fun way to stir it up a tad in a playful way? If there was any controversy it died before that night was over.
But then drummer Tré Cool posed with a hand-scrawled "Actual Headliner" sash on Saturday which got on a Green Day twitter account, which Charli commented "obsessed." Which could literally mean a million things, thus nothing.
It was enough to make Vulture ask, "why are we pitting our two beautiful eyelinered queens against each other?"
Seriously.
Brat 2025 continues tomorrow in Austin for the first of two nights there. Then she brings her neon lime green (#8ACE00) ascetic through the midwest and New York. Get your tix on Charli's website.
The trio with the sea green (#3DA35D) ascetic will now take a month off before hitting the festival circuit. Tix available on the Green Day website.
