The name of the new Mayday Parade tour says it all…’Three Cheers for 20 Years’. And the pop-punk quintet lived up to the hype this week with a kickoff in St. Petersburg! They may sing about Las Vegas and Cali sunrises in “Jamie All Over,” but it was the Florida crowd that got transported through emo history… and it’s the beginning of something beautiful.
This Mayday Parade tour promised to be a journey through their entire discography — a profound celebration of the hearts they’ve broken and celebrations they’ve inspired since 2005. To say they delivered on that, and then some, would be an understatement. Throughout the night, they performed 1-3 songs from each of their eight albums. Therefore, appealing to both the 30-somethings who have been there since day one, and the newer fans who came in at the tail end of the 2020s emo revival.
Despite beginning the night with a live debut of their new song, “By the Way,” it didn’t take long before they went back two full decades. Mayday Parade kicked off with two songs from their debut EP, 2006’s Tales Told By Dead Friends, including a performance of “Just Say You’re Not Into It” for the first time since 2016. This was hardly the only track that was brought back from the dead for this Mayday Parade tour, as they also played “One of Them Will Destroy the Other” and “Bruised and Scarred” again after six years!
All their albums got equal attention throughout the show, from 2009’s Anywhere but Here and 2015’s Black Lines all the way through 2025’s Sweet. The crowd was even treated to a live debut of the new song, “Who’s Laughing Now,” with help from Knuckle Puck’s Joe Taylor! Simply put, it was a walk down memory lane that had half the crowd reliving their Warped Tour glory days, and the rest singing along in pop-punk-soaked nostalgia. And the best part? There’s still plenty more shows to go on this anniversary tour!

But first, we need to talk about the finale of this Mayday Parade concert. They ended the night with a two-song encore consisting of “One Man Drinking Games” and (you guessed it) their signature song, “Jamie All Over.” AKA, the emo anthem that’s on the same level of memorability as A Day to Remember’s “The Downfall of Us All” or Pierce the Veil’s “King For A Day.” Everybody had their hands in the air and nostalgia in their hearts for this one-of-a-kind track, which served as a full-circle moment for every Mayday Parade fan in the room.
Even if you weren’t present for the kickoff of Mayday Parade’s anniversary tour, there’s still plenty of fun to be had with the pop-punk favorites! See the rest of the tour dates below, and check out the full St. Petersburg setlist here.
