Lambrini Girls: Coachella Week

Straight outta Brighton, the Lambrini Girls are an outspoken punk duo who have earned their way to Coachella with their non-stop work ethic, catchy tunes, and a debut LP called Who Let The Dogs Out that made its way onto Kerrang!'s Top 25 list of 2025.

Singer/guitarist Phoebe Lunny and bassist Selin Macieira are as funny as they are ferocious.

They're also dedicated to their craft, having performed over 275 gigs in the last three years.

And yet Selin claims to “like being at home more than anything.”

Contradiction? Not quite. “If I didn’t have the time on stage to go a bit crazy and to do copious shots of tequila, then I’d be a lot less satisfied with my life. I’m glad I can do both,” she told Kerrang! a little over a year ago.

Leading up to their album, Lambrini Girls have not been shy about releasing biting, aggressive, singles: "Homewrecker" (2020), "Help Me I’m Gay" (2022), "White Van" (2023), "Lads Lads Lads" (2023), "God’s Country" / "Body Of Mine" (2024), "Company Culture" (2024), "Big Dick Energy" (2024), and "Love" (2024).

Just a week ago they added a new banger to the parade, the Elastica-inspired "Cult of Celebrity." The women told the rock magazine in March the tune is about the most sordid current news of the day.

“The age old tale of selling your soul to the devil has been fabled accounts of high society for years. However due to recent events come to light, it turns out that the elite are very much actually, the devil incarnate..." they said.

"What a fucking surprise! They had no souls to sell in the first place.”

The band, which formed during the pandemic lockdown, mixes humor with intensity. Even the way Phoebe came out to her mother was pretty punk rock: while on stage introducing "Help Me I'm Gay," one of their earlier songs.

“I’d already ripped open my pants by kneeling down, and I’d covered myself in alcohol and I was all sticky, I didn’t really know what I was doing,” she told NME.

“I was a mess. I got onto the stage and shouted out, ‘Where is my mum? My mum’s here. Mum, I’m gay!’ And she was like, ‘Oh OK, great, sick,’" she continued.

"She genuinely didn’t give a fuck, because she’s a normal person, and then we played the song and it was fucking great," the singer said.

Over the last few years, they have been rightfully billed to support the likes of Amyl & the Sniffers as well as IDLES.

According to Clashfinder, they will close out the Sonora stage on Saturday, going on at 9:15pm. After Coachella they will continue their tear around the globe.
