Olivia Rodrigo joined Addison Rae on Saturday (4/18) at Coachella on the main stage in a guest appearance and collab no one saw coming.
But then again maybe it was written in the stars.
"Pisces and a Gemini," the 23-year-old Rodrigo sings in her brand new song "Drop Dead," noting the astrological incompatibility. "But I think we might go really nice together," she sings, not giving up hope.

The bop is the lead single of her forthcoming album You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, out in June.
It didn't take long to find out if it would be a hit. The official music video was uploaded to YouTube on Thursday and in just four days it has received over 12 million views.
So did Olivia need to pop in on Addison's afternoon set on the main stage to do the song? Probably not. But it brings up a more important question: why the hell hasn't Olivia performed a proper, full set at Coachella?
In the last five years the native Californian has performed full sets at all of these festivals: the iHeartRadio Music Festival (2021), Glastonbury Festival (2022), Live at the Marquee (2022), Lollapalooza Chile (2025), Lollapalooza Argentina (2025), Lollapalooza Brasil (2025), Festival Estéreo Picnic (2025), Tecate Pa’l Norte (2025), Governors Ball Music Festival (2025), Pinkpop Festival (2025), British Summer Time Hyde Park (2025), Glastonbury Festival (2025), Roskilde Festival (2025), Rock Werchter (2025), NOS Alive (2025), Mad Cool (2025), I‑Days (2025), Lollapalooza Paris (2025), Lollapalooza Chicago (2025), and Osheaga Festival (2025).
Yet the only time she has appeared at Coachella has now been as a guest. The first was with No Doubt two years ago for one song, and now this year for two numbers.

First they did "Headphones On" from Addison's 2024 self-titled debut.
Then they belted out Olivia's new banger. Despite being so new, Addison seemed to know every word. Libras are like that.
While it may be a mystery why Coachella hasn't found a way to get her top billing (or something near it) for the festival that fits her like a glove, another curious coincidence occurred that may shed light on why Olivia rocked out with Addison instead of with someone with a "better" time slot.
Earlier in the week, TMZ spotted Olivia out and about with Geese frontman Cameron Winter.

If she really does have the hots for Cameron and his hot band, who better to sing with than Addison, whose set was set to end at 6:20pm, the perfect time to run a few stages over to check out Geese whose start time was 6:15pm.
Did she check it out? There's no evidence of it yet. But it's early, many of the kids haven't even gotten their film developed yet, let alone having received prints so quickly.
But one thing we do know is Olivia checked out David Byrne's show later in the night which was sparsely attended due to Justin Bieber's headlining set happening at the next stage over.
Even though Bieber only cut into the last two of Byrne's tunes, many Beliebers left the Talking Heads frontman early to stake down a good spot. These details matter because Byrne's performance was at the Outdoor Stage which is right in between where she had jumped around with Addison and where Geese rocked out tremendously.
If things worked out with the rock star, would Olivia change the words to "Drop Dead" to read "a Pisces and a Pisces..."?
