Not only did Tool finally kick off their 2019 U.S. Tour this week, but today, they confirmed a release date for their first full-length album in 12 years! Their forthcoming album will drop August 30th - check out their teaser below.

They actually teased the album at their show in Birmingham, Alabama last night when the the words "August 30th" flashed on the screens behind the stage during the show's intermission. Today, they confirmed that the date is indeed when the follow up to 2006's 10,000 Days will drop.

Fan's actually got taste of new songs "Descending" (with words) and "Invincible" during their Welcome to Rockville Festival set in Nashville on May 5th.

They also performed the new songs during their first non-festival date last night at Birmingham's Legacy Arena. The 13-song setlist also included an extended version of "Schism" and saw the band dusting off "Intolerance" for the first time since 2011.

The later portion of the set was equipped with an iconic drum solo and a long version of "Stinkfist" to conclude the set! So far, the band is including an equal amount of play off of Aenima, 10,000 Days and Lateralus on the setlist.
