Justin Timberlake Kicks Off Tour with Intense Floating Stage

Justin Timberlake kicked off his The Forget Tomorrow World Tour in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on Monday.

Nearly 20,000 Canucks were treated to a heavy dose of JT's new album, Everything I Thought It Was, the former NSYNC star's first new material since 2018's Man of the Woods.

Of the 28 tunes in his set, 11 were off the new album, in this his first tour in five years.

The show was broken up into three parts. The first from the main stage encompassed 18 songs, mostly done in medley style including hits like "My Love," "Cry Me A River" and "Señorita."

Then he went over to the "B" stage for seven songs including acoustic versions of "Selfish" and "What Goes Around... Comes Around."

When Justin returned to the main stage he doled out his three biggest hits including the banger which three out of four fans agree did bring sexy back in 2006.

But probably the most spectacular portion happened with the final tune, "Mirrors" when the 43-year-old entertainer appeared on a "floating stage" which was reminiscent to one Kanye utilized years ago.

The difference is, JT's stage tilted as much as what seemed to be 45 degrees as he was supported by thick cables from above.

The question though is, was JT inspired by Ye or nah?

One might remember in November of 2018 that New Zealand's own Lorde, on her IG story, claimed West actually was copying her stage from earlier that year.

But before one goes pointing fingers, South Africa has entered the chat claiming their native son, Cassper Nyovest busted with the first floating stage way back in 2015.

Ok fine, everyone ripped off poor Cassper. Lorde, Kanye, and especially Justin Randall Timberlake owes Mr. Nyovest a heartfelt ngiyaxolisa ngalokho, which is "sorry about that" in Zulu.

Of all people, Justin should... wait, what's this?

In 2013, JT had a moving, floating stage, that spanned the entire width of the arena? That's correct, the centerpiece of The 20/20 Experience World Tour was an elongated, illuminated platform that supported both the star and some of his dancers.

Now it sounds like everyone owes Justin a sincere ngiyaxolisa ngalokho as this new set piece of his is sort of a new twist on what he wowed fans with 11 years ago.

So congratulations, Vancouver, BC, you got to see the newest, coolest tech in staging, and also live debuts of “Technicolor”, “Infinity Sex”, “Imagination”, “Drown”, “My Favorite Drug”, “F****n' Up the Disco”, “Play”, and “Flame.”
