Live Debut: Taylor Swift Debuts New TTPD Songs in Sweden

Taylor Swift kicked off the European leg of the Eras Tour last week, settling debate amongst Taylor Swift Sleuths surrounding the addition of her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, as an official TS Era. The artist debuted seven songs from the album in Paris and opened the TTPD Era with a stunning theatrical medley she dubbed Female Rage: The Musical (slay!). Read our last write up here to see a breakdown of the show and all changes to the setlist.

Because we can’t get enough and she knows it, Swift performed three nights of Sweden shows at the Friends Arena in Solna with a few more debuts from TTPD: “Peter,” “Guilty as Sin?” and “How Did It End?” Here’s the breakdown for how you might get to see an extra special live debut outside of the predetermined set:

Just after the TTPD set, Taylor treats fans to a two-song arc that changes nightly. Previously, Swift has filled this arc with hits from her vast discography, mashups, other live debuts and even the rare cover. Since TTPD was released during the tour break, she’s debuted a number of songs from the album during this section of the setlist.

Eras Tour: The Tortured Poets Department

Eras Tour ticket sales have broken records, selling out within minutes and grossing over $1 billion. Many American fans have been unable to get tickets to the U.S. leg, opting to travel across the pond for European shows rather than miss out entirely. Those lucky Swifties and European fans will reap the reward of hearing the artist’s latest album live for the first time.

We can’t help but wonder what else Taylor will debut from TTPD as she makes her way across Europe and back to North America to close out the tour in December.

I, for one, will be glued to her setlist updates for more surprises.
