Halsey Stuns at the Hollywood Bowl — Featuring Evanescence!

When pop meets goth rock, you know you’re in for a magical night…and that’s exactly what fans were treated to in Los Angeles this week! Halsey took the stage with Evanescence and The Warning on the ‘For My Last Trick’ tour, delivering a 23-song setlist that never ceased to stun the crowd.

This trek supports Halsey’s fifth album, The Great Impersonator, released last October and believed to be her final record after a series of public health struggles. And while she’s since backtracked a bit and opened up to the possibility of more future music, she still plays every show like it’s her last. Exhibit A? This three-part Halsey concert that honors every chapter of her incredible career.

The first part (‘act i: alice falls down the rabbit hole’) was a mashup of hits from all your favorite years. Fans journeyed back to the 2010s with “Bad at Love,” “Alone,” “Control” and “Angel on Fire,” among others, while also being treated to brand new singles like “Lucky” and “Darwinism.” These 2024 tracks were all powerful moments for the crowd, dealing with some of Halsey’s heaviest topics to date….

And serving as a symbol of her profound lyrical thoughts on life, death, and everything in between. Pretty relatable, right? Halsey has been through hell and back over the past several years, and she definitely hasn’t been shy about it on the latest Halsey album. This emotion continued into Act II, where she brought out Amy Lee of Evanescence for a live debut of “Hand That Feeds.”

With Lee’s hauntingly beautiful vocals mixing flawlessly with Halsey’s sweet-but-strong sound, it was a moment of empowerment for all those lucky enough to witness it. Two of music’s strongest women sharing the stage? What’s not to love? Halsey also surprised the audience with a performance of “Drive,” along with a cover of “Closer” by the Chainsmokers, which made her famous over a decade ago, and more expected essentials like “Lonely is the Muse.”

As for the encore? It was as dazzling and dynamic as Halsey herself. She worked through “Nightmare,” “Without Me,” and “The Great Impersonator” with the utmost ease…with the last track providing a bit of irony. How can such a confident, captivating musical presence possibly deal with imposter syndrome? We have no idea; all we know is that we’re thrilled Halsey has decided to share her gift with the world.

Even better, there’s still plenty of chances to see her, Evanescence, and more live! Get your tickets to this Halsey tour today, and check out the full Los Angeles setlist here.
