Pearl Jam, one of the most popular American rock & roll band's, and a band that has long outlasted and outsold many of its contemporaries, is currently on their 2018 Pearl Jam Tour. They are nine shows deep into their 25-date tour, currently finishing their European leg and will then head to South America before their U.S. summer dates.
The band has been averaging a 27-track setlist with tracks ranging throughout their entire career. It seems that the band is taking on the "no track will be left unplayed" attitude, so we would like to put in our two cents on what else they should bring back, and bring back soon! Check them out below:
Song: "Unemployable"
Last played: October 11, 2013
Song: "Angel"
Last played: August 7, 2016. Other than two festival performances in 2016, they haven't performed this since March 13, 1994.
Song: "Fatal"
Last Played: July 8, 2014... and only 5 times before that.
Song: "Spin the Back Circle"
Last played: July 17, 2016. Even though this was played on their last tour, we haven't seen it yet this year and, well, we would really like to.
Song: "World Wide Suicide"
Last Played: January 31, 2014
On Monday (June 18), the band performed in London, United Kingdom with a loud political statement. Referencing Donald Trump’s zero tolerance immigration policy, the band dedicated “Love Boat Captain” to President Trump, hopping that the message of love might resonate with him. Before they performed the track their frontman, Eddie Vedder, told the crowd:
“I would like him to hear it but he doesn’t listen to music or read books. Could someone tweet this to him or something? For mom’s and dad’s and children being separated at the border. That isn’t the country I remember."
