Setlist History: Whitney Houston's Final Concert in 2010

On this day in 2010, Whitney Houston completed her Nothin’ But Love World Tour in Manchester, England. Although nobody knew it would be her last ever full concert, the night was still a bittersweet moment for Houston’s fans.

The entire tour had been met with mixed reviews. However, many concertgoers were still as excited as ever to see the icon perform, tempering their expectations of the veteran star.

Houston herself, donned in a sparkling silver dress at her Manchester gig, seemed confident onstage while delivering classics such as “My Love is Your Love” and “Saving All My Love For You.” Given that the tour was promoting her last album I Look To You, Houston also fit quite a few new songs into the setlist among old hits. In fact, she both opened and closed the show with I Look To You tracks, “For the Lovers” and “I Didn’t Know My Own Strength.”

The moment that Houston sung the opening notes of the 15th song in the setlist, her iconic cover of Dolly Parton’s “I Will Always Love You,” the crowd burst into enthusiastic cheers. Even as Houston took a lengthy pause midway through the ballad to catch her breath, the audience rallied behind her with excited screams and encouraged her to bring the song to an emotional finish.

Houston completed the night with “Million Dollar Bill,” another I Look To You track, as the encore. If Houston’s Manchester show proved anything, it was that while her voice may have been more fragile than ever, her stardom was certainly not. Overall, she won over the crowd with her palpable charisma and clear effort. It was a poignant moment for both Houston and her fans.

Houston passed tragically on February 11, 2012 to the world's devastation. RIP to an absolute queen who we love and miss everyday! Whitney's music still keeps her energy alive to this day.
