Static-X Kickoff "Wisconsin Death Trip" Tour with New Member Xer0

It's been four years since the tragic death of Static-X frontman, Wayne Static. Now, his bandmates have saddled up for a 30-date tour to commemorate their late frontman and to celebrate 20 years since their debut record, Wisconsin Death Trip.

The tour reunites three of the four founding band members of the missed industrial metal band - Tony Campos (bass), Koichi Fukada (guitar) and Ken Jay (drums) and features a mystery masked singer taking Static's place.

It has since been noted that the mystery frontman is Edsel Dope of Dope— known in Static-X as ‘Xer0‘.

Campos explained in April:

“The first time being in the same room together, it all kind of clicked again. It felt really good, right from the get-go. The initial demos that we found, only one of them had Wayne’s vocals. That’s why we brought on Xer0, who’s going to be performing the vocals live on tour.”

The summer trek – featuring co-headliner DevilDriver – kicked off Tuesday, June 18 in Tempe, Arizona. It's scheduled to visit cities throughout North America such as Dallas, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Sioux City and Denver before coming to a close July 27 in Las Vegas.

Additionally, the band has tacked on nine extra dates in the fall that you can check out below.

Static X kicked off the tour Tuesday night at Tempe's Marquee Theatre. They played an 18-song set, opening with "Bled for Days" before diving into cuts like "Love Dump," "The Trance is the Motion" and "Destroy All."

The set also included TWO performances of "Cold" before closing with "I'm With Stupid" and "Push It."
