Vans "Warped 25 Years" Warped Tour Opening Weekend Highlights

It's the beginning of the end for Warped Tour goers.
The longest-running music festival in the United States is celebrating its 25th anniversary with one last go-around this summer, making stops in Cleveland, Ohio, Atlantic City, New Jersey and Mountain View, California.
When it initially began in 1995, Warped Tour was an alt-rock festival, featuring acts like No Doubt and Sublime. Eventually, it morphed into the punk-rock scene that it's known and loved for today, kickstarting the careers of bands like My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, Paramore and Black Veil Brides.
Founder Kevin Lyman said that 2018 would be the festival's last cross-country run, but decided to finish for good in 2019 with three slated weekends.
"I always listened to fans and artists," he said.
"We were a community that was never recognized. Our bands weren’t played on the radio. We went to cities where other tours didn’t go. We went to Boise and Bozeman, Montana. Eventually, we were embraced. It wasn’t easy but we learned from our mistakes."
This weekend, the festival made its first stop in Cleveland with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new showcase at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, which features items from Sum 41, Rancit, Joan Jett, Every Time I Die, Less Than Jake, Taking Back Sunday and various other acts that have played at the festival over the years.
Following the ceremony, Simple Plan, We The Kings, Hawthorne Heights and more took the stage. Check out some of the highlights!
Simple Plan took the stage and played a 9-song set, including songs "I'd Do Anything," "Jump," "I’m Just a Kid" and "Perfect."
