Knocked Loose Returns to Louisville for Hometown Shows

Knocked Loose returned to Louisville, KY, this past weekend, kicking off a trio of hometown shows more hardcore than you could ever imagine. With a top-tier setlist filled with live debuts, and two intimate venues packed to the brim with fans and friends, it was a monumental occasion for the Kentucky Metalcore band.

After teasing these hometown shows on social media, Knocked Loose knew they had a lot of hype to live up to at Portal at fifteenTWELVE for night one. And needless to say, people weren’t disappointed. With a flawlessly-lit backdrop complete with a massive cross, paying tribute to their newly-released third album, You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To, they kicked off a setlist that aimed to unite their supporters and unleash the beast within.

Similar to their just-wrapped spring tour, this Knocked Loose concert began with “Blinding Faith,” a rage-filled new song that brought the crowd to their knees literally and metaphorically. It was a beautiful way to begin such a sentimental show, and the rest of the setlist followed suit. They performed a handful of new songs, including “Don’t Reach For Me” and “Suffocate.” The second number even featured guest vocals from Taylar Gasgow, the Knocked Loose lighting director and partner of singer Bryan Garris.

Additionally, the band performed a live debut of “Piece by Piece” before diving into old favorites including “Mistakes Like Fractures,” “Belleville,” “Billy No Mates,” “Counting Worms” and more. Throughout the 17-song setlist, Knocked Loose proved that they knew their audience as they performed classics from their 11-year-career. As one could expect, the mosh pits broke out in massive numbers as the audience immersed themselves in Kentucky hardcore royalty. And it was nothing less than revolutionary.

As they performed two more Knocked Loose concerts on June 14th and 15th, the energy never ceased as the surprises kept rolling in. Fans were treated to more live debuts of “Sit & Mourn,” “Moss Covers All,” and “Take Me Home,” while the band continued to put on one of the best live shows in metal. Between Garris’ one-of-a-kind live vocals, the band’s furious guitar and drum solos, and more “Wall of Death” moments than we can count, a Knocked Loose concert never stops being exhilarating.

And while they may have wrapped up their touring cycle and hometown shows for now, the good news is that you can relive the Metalcore magic again and again! Check out the setlists here, here, and here, and stay tuned for more news from Knocked Loose.
