French fans bummed that they missed Miley Cyrus on the opening night of Beyoncé's three-night stand in Paris had their frowns turned upside-down Sunday (6/22).
The Cowboy Carter Tour stop on night trois at Stade de France was history in the making when Jay-Z joined his wife on stage for the first time in seven years.
On the 23rd song in the 41-track set, the couple got the French on their feet with “Crazy in Love,” their chart-topping Grammy-winning 2003 collab from her first solo album, Dangerously in Love.

The pair who will soon be the first billionaire couple in hip-hop (he is estimated at being worth $2.5 billion and she may reap enough from this tour to reach billionaire status) haven't shared a stage since their 48-date On The Run II Tour that concluded in the fall of 2018.
Jay-Z's surprise appearance also included “N-----s in Paris,” which the pair last performed together at the Global Citizen Festival in 2018.
The Stade de France shows were among the largest of the Cowboy Carter tour so far, with the finale reportedly drawing more than 70,000 into the Beyhive.
Talk about ballin' so hard.
The guest appearance couldn't have been more timely as the superstar couple's relationship continues to be dragged through the tabloids. Anyone who reads those gossip outlets would be hard pressed not to assume their love has been crazy.
The drama began inside the infamous 2014 Met Gala elevator when Beyoncé’s sister Solange was seen physically confronting Jay in leaked surveillance footage. In 2016, Beyoncé’s groundbreaking album Lemonade featured lyrics suggesting her man had been unfaithful, which he confirmed the following year, acknowledging and apologizing for the damage it caused.
And like many celebrity couples, any time the two aren't fawning over each other in every single way, whispers of a forthcoming split seep back into the conversation.
But all a reasonable fan needs to do is look at the title of her current album and tour. It's not Cowboy Knowles. It's not Cowboy Bey. It's Cowboy Carter: Jay-Z's last name and also that of their children Blue Ivy, Rumi, and Sir.
Would it have silenced the un-well-wishers if Jay had opened on this tour. Probably not. Some would have claimed he was attempting to overshadow her. Others would have made up numerous theories about why they weren't doing an On The Run III.
Since 2018, Jay has selflessly supported his queen as she has grown artistically, culturally, and commercially.

Since 2018 she headlined Coachella (captured in Homecoming), curated and produced The Lion King: The Gift (2019), released the visual album Black Is King (2020), and dropped her seventh studio album Renaissance (2022), followed by the Renaissance tour and concert film.
In 2024 she released the daring Cowboy Carter LP which finally was rewarded by the Grammys for Album of the Year.
Should we knock Jay-Z for staying home with the kids and supporting his wife as blossoms as both an artist and a mother? Of course not.
He's not only setting a great example for his children but leading by example for other power couples.
And Sunday he showed he still knows how to rock the mic and move a crowd.
Beyonce now heads home to Houston for a pair of shows in Texas followed by the last dates of the tour in Maryland, Georgia an Sin City.
