Hilary Duff fans felt very lucky on June 21 as she officially kicked off “the lucky me tour” in West Palm Beach, FL — with enough throwbacks, confetti, and pop bangers to make any millennial blush. She even performed three live debuts to balance out the nostalgia, which is so Hilary Duff, it hurts.

The night opened with “Wake Up,” a dance-pop anthem that turns 21 this year. Can you believe it? She followed up with a mix of songs from every era — including “So Yesterday,” “Roommates,” “Weather for Tennis” and “Play With Fire,” the last of which was performed for the first time since 2008. Hilary Duff is one of the most self-aware pop stars around, which is why she worked through both classic and modern favorites (“Roommates” topped the charts earlier this year) within the first half hour.

And the new material didn’t feel awkwardly placed between the oldies, either. Songs from luck… or something gave the set a grown-up feel, showing off the version of Hilary Duff who has actually lived a little since the Metamorphosis days. “Future Tripping,” “You, from the Honeymoon,” and “Mature” all served as a love letter to the millennials who made her all those years ago — creating a full-circle moment from Lizzie McGuire to full-blown pop star that we all can appreciate.

That being said, the old songs still carried the kind of emotional weight only early-2000s pop can. “Come Clean” will always sound like rain on a window, a dramatic stare into the distance, and a very serious episode of Laguna Beach all at once. “With Love” makes us want to recreate the iconic dance number associated with it. And “What Dreams Are Made Of” is basically a national treasure for anyone who ever watched The Lizzie McGuire Movie and briefly believed they, too, could become an international pop star overnight.

Duff also made the night feel personal, telling the crowd, “You guys have made this all possible for me. It feels like such a celebration of our past younger selves to now and who we are. This just feels so full circle and so exciting.” That quote sums up the entire tour kickoff. As fans who have stood by Hilary Duff for more than two decades filled the room, it felt more like a gathering of old friends than a concert…and this warmth is just part of the reason we love Hilary Duff.

The timing helps, too. luck… or something debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, marking Duff’s highest chart position since 2007, and Rolling Stone named it one of the “Best Albums of 2026.” Basically, Hilary Duff is showing us exactly how it’s done with her musical comeback, and there’s still plenty of chances to see her take the stage.
