Motionless in White started off their 2026 touring cycle last night in Melbourne, giving Australian fans a taste of their Decades era and more. The metalcore icons served up a 19-song setlist including one live debut and lots of old favorites ranging from dance-worthy to heavy as hell.
The night opened with “Meltdown,” which remains a very appropriate way to start a Motionless in White concert. You haven’t really absorbed the chaos of Chris Motionless and Co. until you’ve wailed along to “kill or be killed, the American scream!” at the top of your lungs… and Melbourne loved every minute of it. The first quarter of the show continued with “Sign of Life,” “A-M-E-R-I-C-A,” “Thoughts & Prayers,” and “Voices”....
Then came the dance party that is “Werewolf.” They also performed a shortened version of “Afraid of the Dark,” the first single off the new Motionless in White album, Decades, due for release on July 17. This track is everything we’ve come to love about the band — therapeutic, haunting, and filled with a signature “BLEH” to boot — and we can’t wait to hear what else they’ve got. The band recently put out a new music video, “R.I.P. (feat. Skylar Grey),” that’s already at 1.5 million views on YouTube.
And while they didn’t play this particular track in Melbourne, we have hope for the upcoming US tour. What else did Australian fans bear witness to? A continuously stellar setlist that included “Slaughterhouse,” arguably the band’s heaviest song that saw them joined by Make Them Suffer frontman Sean Harmanis, along with “Rats,” “Scoring the End of the World,” and an ILLENIUM cover of “Nothing Ever After.”
Then came the big new moment: “Playing God,” performed live for the first time. Dropping a live debut this deep into the set is a choice, but Motionless in White have never been the kind of band to hide the drama at the beginning and call it a night. While we didn’t get to hear it with guest vocals from Slipknot’s Corey Taylor (like the recorded version), this heavy track made for arguably one of the biggest moments of the night, as fans pumped their fists and pushed into the mosh pit like it was their full-time job.
From there, things got even more fun as “Not My Type: Dead as F*** 2” brought the campy, undead theatrics, “Soft” hit ironically hard, and “Another Life” gave the crowd one of the band’s biggest emotional singalong moments. Closing with “Eternally Yours” made total sense, too — as Motionless in White has always blurred the lines between rage and romance. And they did it perfectly in Melbourne as they celebrated the past, present, and future. romantic,
Basically, if this setlist is any indication, the upcoming U.S. shows are going to be insanely loud and loved up…and we’re here for it. MIW have two more dates in AUS - details here. Check out the American tour dates below and the full Melbourne setlist here.
