Incubus Setlist Takes Shape

Incubus certainly has been keeping things interesting for live crowds so far this summer. As they kicked off their summer tour, the band has played it fast and loose with their setlist each night, mixing it up for fans attending the first few dates as they tour to support their eighth studio album titled, appropriately, 8.

The 8 tour (sensing a theme here) kicked off on July 6th in Florida where the band debuted four new live songs. "Glitterbomb," "Undefeated," "When I Become a Man" and "No Fun" joined a set list that was loaded with other songs from 8. Incubus even brought back songs they haven't played live in years, including "Redefine" and a surprise encore of "Aqueous Transmission." Dreamy.

But since then they've continued to mix things up. The July 7th date in Tampa not only rearranged the order of the songs, it swapped out several of the tracks from 8 for songs from previous albums including Light Grenades track "Quicksand" and "Here in My Room," off the 2004 LP A Crow Left of the Murder. They also brought "Throw Out the Map" to life onstage for the first time that night.

Since then the band seems to have settled into something like a regular routine, though they're still switching up things to the point that you don't know which song they'll be opening with — so far it's been a toss up between "Quicksand" and "Glitterbomb." And with only a handful of dates in the rear view mirror, who knows what the band will do from now until they wrap up the US tour on August 9th in Auburn, WA? Stay tuned to Setlist.fm to find out!
