Watch Angel Olsen & Hand Habits Cover Tom Petty During Livestream

Last month, singer-songwriter Angel Olsen kicked off the first in her Cosmic Stream series. Cosmic Stream 1: Half Way Home (Almost In Full) and More streamed from The Church at Echo Mountain Recording in Asheville, North Carolina on June 18. Following up, Angel Olsen partnered with Swing Left–an organization that was crucial in flipping the House in the 2018 primaries, for Cosmic Stream 2 on July 14, performing live from the Masonic Temple in Ashville, North Carolina. Shot by her longtime video collaborator – Ashley Connor, the livestream featured a special performance from Hand Habits.

Taking a dive into our setlist.fm data, Cosmic Stream 2 featured a 10-song setlist where Olsen delivered a mesmerizing performance inside an empty room on a stage in front of a gorgeous landscape painting. Opening the show with "Lights Out," Olsen performed 6 songs in total from her 2014 studio album, Burn Your Fire for No Witness. She performed one song from her albums Half Way Home, Strange Cacti and My Woman, respectively.

According to our setlist.fm data, Olsen closed with a first-ever performance of "My Last Date (With You)" which is a cover of a Skeeter Davis song. Speaking of covers, Olsen joined Hand Habits during her set for a performance of Tom Petty's "Walls." Watch the haunting and beautiful cover below.
