2020 marked the 30th Anniversary of The Black Crowes debut studio album, Shake Your Money Maker - and brothers Chris and Rich Robinson had plans in place to take that celebration on the road - but then, of course, pandemic. So if the Tuesday night tour kickoff at Nashville's Ascend Amphitheatre felt EXTRA, that's why. It's also one of the first major rock tours of 2021 and it's almost AUGUST.
The Black Crowes played a solid 2-hour set with the first half dedicated to SYMM performed in its entirety and true to the track listing. The rest of the set featured material from 6 of their 8 studio albums, including 5 songs from the band's sophomore album, The Southern Harmony and Music Companion. They closed the first night of tour with a single song encore - "Remedy."
