Post Malone is going all in on this country thing, so much so he popped on stage during the last few songs of Dwight Yoakam's set in LA on Thursday and came back for the first song on the encore.
Posty sat in on so many songs during Dwight's hometown gig someone on Twitter said, "We went to a Post Malone concert and a Dwight Yoakam concert broke out."
Anything can happen in those Los Feliz hills. Remember that was the same Greek Theatre where Morrissey cut his gig short because it was getting too cold.

It was a hot show well before Post joined Dwight on stage.
The country legend who broke out nearly 40 years ago during the country punk era of the mid-'80s that saw the likes of bands like Lone Justice flirt with fame but Dwight hung in tightly thanks to his debut 1986 hit Guitars, Cadillacs, etc. etc.
Posty and Dwight first performed "Little Ways" together, a song they did at Stagecoach during Post's country set.
Wearing a red baseball cap, a brown plaid long sleeve and dark jeans, Post looked like the truck driver who drove the semi of Bud Light, not the star sponsored by them. Which is why he's so loved.
Malone and Yoakum both worked acoustic guitars as the great Eugene Edwards sparkled on lead.

Earlier in the set Dwight and the band delighted the crowd with many of his other originals along with several punchy covers by Elvis, Buck Owens and Queen.
Posty and Dwight ended the set with "Fast As You," the tune that made it to #2 on Billboard's Top Country Songs of 1993.
After a brief break, Dwight and the band came out for an encore, and there was Post still with them. Fine!
They all did "It Won't Hurt" which was the followup single to "Guitar, Cadillacs..." back in the '80s about a sad dude and his bottle.
Today I had another bout with sorrow
You know this time I almost won
And if this bottle would just hold out 'til tomorrow
Well, I know that I'd have sorrow on the run
Yes there's been a bunch of songs about a weepy man and his booze, but one of these days someone has to ask Dwight if it was inspired by the great Merle Haggard song, "The Bottle Let Me Down."
Yes, the one Dwight and Posty played together in 2018 on Yoakam's Sirius XM show, Greater Bakersfield.
And yes, they've been pals for years. In fact in 2016, Post wrote "Feeling Whitney" which, you guessed it, is about a sad guy and his bottle.
"And I've been looking for someone to put up with my bullshit / I can't even leave my bedroom so I keep pouring," Post sings and then says:
I had 80 beers on Tuesday night, I had nothing to do then
I put on a little Dwight and sang a happy tune
And lit a cigarette, stepped out the door, had an appearance
Drank more
Which is why it was a little surprising the other day when Target accidentally jumped the gun and revealed the back of Post's forthcoming country album, F-1 Trillion, that among the long list of guest stars, Mr. Yoakum wasn't present.
We already knew Morgan Wallen, Blake Shelton and Luke Combs, were going to be on the album because we've seen and heard those songs already. But night after the Greek show, we saw via Billboard, Posty would also be singing with Dolly Parton, Jelly Roll, Tim McGraw, Lainey Wilson, Brad Paisley, Hank Williams Jr. and Chris Stapleton.

Here's hoping they cut a song and it was so good they're holding it for F-1 Trillion and 1.
