A wealthy Coldplay fan is getting the cold shoulder across the Internet as he and his cohort were caught in an embrace which was displayed around video screens Wednesday (7/16) at Gillette Stadium.
During the typically wholesome "The Jumbotron Song," the band's charming singer Chris Martin makes up an impromptu song about a person or a couple who have been locked in on by the stadium camera operator.
You may remember last month Martin sang a song in El Paso to fans who climbed the side of a mountain to take in the show for free.

This time a startled pair consciously uncoupled once their union was exposed to the 65k via the jumbotrons around the stadium that is typically the home of the New England Patriots.
“Ooh look at these two,” Martin began and then paused when the woman embarrassingly covered her face while her beau slunk back down to his seat.
“Whoa. OK," Martin sang as the crowd laughed. "Either they’re having an affair or they’re just really shy.”
The Internet was not shy in identifying the pair as the CEO of a local billion dollar aerospace company and his Chief People Officer. The story has quickly spread to newspapers, magazines, and worse: social media influencers, who scoured LinkedIn, Facebook, and anywhere else where they could find more details of these music fans.

Things got so heated, a satirical statement made the rounds, allegeding to be written by the CEO, Andy Byron, acknowledged the dailiance. We bring this up so that you know it's untrue and you shouldn't spread it.
The imposter wrote, "this is not who I want to be or how I want to represent the company I helped build," but then took a playful shot at the Grammy-winning group.
"I also want to express how troubling it is that what should have been a private moment became public without my consent," the comedic note read in the faux press release on Thursday.
"I respect artists and entertainers, but I hope we can all think more deeply about the impact of turning someone else's life into a spectacle."

It prompted more Twitter jokesters to tweet all sorts of responses about the TikTok seen around the world, including this very realistic-looking fake tweet, above, claiming to be from the band saying they would make a "camera-free" section for their next gig.
Although the tweet is false, it actually would be on-brand for the hitmakers to create such a section as the group does try to be welcoming to all of its fans.

In a move that's rare, the group not only provides interpreters and Subpac devices for its fans with hearing issues, but it also will supply sensory bags "for those with sensory sensitivities," Coldplay states on their website.
Not that the band needs any financial advice from a humble writer, especially during an enormously successful Music of the Spheres World Tour which has seen them sell over 11 million tickets around the globe - but instead of a section, how about solve the issue with merch.
Coldplay should offer Chris Martin masks that attendees could pull on when it's time for "The Jumbotron Song" which would make it virtually impossible for people to know they're canoodling, allegedly, with the nice HR lady.
Better yet, make one for all four of the lads who have been together since 1998: Jonny Buckland (guitar), Guy Berryman (bass), and Will Champion (drums).

This way when the cameraman scans he audience for willing participants, philanderers - or those simply perpetually on the run - can avoid the embarrassment of being caught in 4k as the kids say.
Coldplay has a bunch of dates left in this tour, four of which are in the States before they head to the UK and especially Wembley for 10 huge nights there. Ideal opportunities to sell some masks, mates.
