Kesha Kicked Off Tits Out Tour in Utah with Live Debuts

Sun's out, guns out?

Wait, those aren't guns.

"Are you ready for freedom?" Kesha asked the sold-out audience at the First Credit Union Amphitheatre Tuesday (7/1) in West Valley City, Utah, while holding what appeared to be a human head with long blonde hair eerily resembling her own.

Opening night of the Tits Out Tour and the singer/songwriter then asked the crowd to put up their middle fingers as she lead them into an updated version of "Tik Tok" that now begins "woke up in the morning and it's fuck P. Diddy."

It's a change to her 2010 debut single she introduced at Coachella a few years back and holds more just as much zing in the summer of 2025, as his trial is coming to an end, as it did in Spring 2024.

“I’m going TITS OUT this summer to bring as much safety, fun, acceptance, love, connection, and celebration to this country because we are just as much the fabric of this FREE nation as anyone else,” Kesha promised when she announced the tour.

“We will not be quiet, and we will fight through joy! I think it’s time to make LOVE, not content. LOVE, not anger. LOVE, not hatred, and love, not war.”

After "Tik Tok" was finished she put the head down and a message appeared on the screen.

TONIGHT – I WILL GIVE YOU MY STORY
TONIGHT – I WILL NOT PLAY A SHOW FOR YOU
TONIGHT – I WANT TO PLAY A SHOW WITH YOU

MY INTENTION IS FREEDOM FROM MY PAST
I'M GOING TO TAKE YOU THROUGH MY LIFE STORY
THROUGH MY LIFE'S WORK WILL YOU LISTEN?
WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO SACRIFICE?
HOW FREE DO YOU WANT TO BE?
ARE YOU WILLING TO LOVE?
ARE YOU WILLING TO HURT?

It called back to her previous mentions of freedom, clearly still and issue for her years after she's parted ways with her controversial producer.

The tour is in support of her forthcoming album whose title is the period punctuation mark, so some are calling it (PERIOD). Adding to the theme of freedom, it's being released on Independence Day.

One drawback of naming your album, ., is it's hard to click on our humble website.

What's interesting is .'s style of music is being called Recession Pop due to its raw, lo-fi production, and ironic lyrics, of which Charli XCX's Brat is a prime example of. It's interesting because damn near everything Kesha is doing right now is brat.

What's more brat than calling your first new album on your own label, .? And your tour Tits Out?

Likewise, is there a song more ironic than "Die Young," one of the many hits from her deep catalogue that kept the party going out in Utah?

So while, yes, it seems like Kesha might be heading closer and closer to Charli in some ways, it would be entirely unfair not to give her credit for launching what is now being deemed Recession Pop.

Kesha live debuted three new tracks from ., including the visually appealing "Red Flag" where she played what appeared to be a Jackson Rhoads guitar.

While she sang and played the new tune for the first time, Kesha wore a top shaped like to giant gloves that prevented the name of the tour from happening.

The other live debuts were "The Drama" and "The One."

Did she perform several tunes from back in her past for the first time in years with stripped-down production? Yes: "Warrior," "Crazy Kids," and "C'Mon" were each presented in shortened versions for the first time since 2016; while "Thinking of You" was revealed for the first time since 2013.

Kesha now heads to California, including a stop at the Forum the day after . drops. Then she tours around North America through August spreading that love and expressing her freedom in amphitheatres in and around the biggest cities. Grab tickets on Kesha's website.
