Las Vegas has been the place to be for pop acts recently. More and more stars continue to announce and perform residencies in Sin City, including Ricky Martin, Shania Twain, Backstreet Boys, Celine Dion, Blink-182 (!?), Gwen Stefani (check out our exclusive coverage of the opening night of Gwen’s "Just a Girl" show!) and, of course, Britney Spears. Last December Lady Gaga announced she’d be taking her place in the City of Lights amid plenty of excitement and “Poker Face” references.
Leave it to Mama Monster to set herself apart from the rest, though. While most of her dates are being described as “a brand-new odyssey of her pop hits built as an experience unlike any other,” she’ll also be offering a second show experience. The “Jazz and Piano” dates will showcase Gaga’s range as she performs “stripped-down versions” of her hit singles along with selections from The Great American Songbook. The entire experience is being called, perfectly, “Enigma.” Lady Gaga has described the theme of the show as -
“The challenges of bravery can be overcome with creativity and courage that is grown out of adversity, love and music.”
Tickets for the show at the new Park MGM will go on sale on August 13th, though there are also plenty of pre-order options out there for clever Little Monsters.
