The Smashing Pumpkins are melting faces as they travel city-to-city on their Shiny and Oh So Bright tour. This tour is particularly special in that the original members of SP are playing together for the first time in almost 18 years.
It's been about 30 years since the iconic alt-rockers formed The Smashing Pumpkins, and it's come to their attention that they never got to celebrate their accomplishments properly. In a new and exclusive series of interviews, you'll get to hear the band share their excitement in reuniting and taking the stage together again.

On the effects of the internet age:
"I think one unexpected result of the internet age is that when people interface with your work, all time is existent for them, all the time. And so trying to ask a fan to stick with you on a linear trajectory is kind of a waste of time.
I think it's more like a circle, and as long as you circle through what's familiar both for you and for the audience, that seems to be more fun and more artistically progressive.
You can pull the old things forward, it feels new again."
On celebrating 30 years:
"This is our 30th year, maybe even 31 from when James and I first started. For a band that's rushed forward so hard, and stumbled and fallen and picked itself back up, we've never really thrown ourselves a party.
We never actually celebrated our history. We're so glad James is back with us and 30 years is about right to celebrate."
