KISS Kickoff Third Leg of End of the Road Tour with 20 Songs!

What a night it was in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida as KISS took their End of the Road World Tour to the Sunshine State. Kicking off the third leg of their much-anticipated farewell tour, founding members Paul Stanley (vocals & guitar) and Gene Simmons (bass), alongside longtime additions Tommy Thayer (guitar) and Eric Singer (drums), graced the stage with their legendary presence for a final time in Ft. Lauderdale.
Although their current tour dates only stretch through December, 2019, the End of the Road World Tour is expected to last as long as three years, giving fans around the world the chance to see KISS one last time. Members Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons were quite vocal during the tour announcement back in 2018 making it clear that not only would this be their final tour, but that this tour would be their greatest show yet.
“A thank you is in order, but also one last time to live up to what everybody says we have been and what we are.” - Paul Stanley
“For us to move anywhere, this is the 600,000-pound gorilla. We can’t move without having tractor trailers up the wazoo. We leave a big imprint and that’s how we like it.” - Gene Simmons
Having already played over seventy shows through just two legs of this massive tour, it doesn’t appear as if KISS is ready to slow down just yet, a point also apparent last night at the second North American tour kickoff of the year.
With an unbelievable production behind them, it’s not surprising that the metal pioneers produced a spectacle far beyond expectation. From the seemingly unlimited pyrotechnics and individual moving crane stages to the laser light show and rotating octagon ceiling monitors, it was clear that KISS came to put on a show.
Sporting their unmistakable face paint and hard-shelled wardrobe, the rock characters were sure to focus just as hard on the music as they did the production. As expected, the twenty-song setlist touched heavily on their massive catalogue of hits including “Detroit Rock City,” “Shout It Out Loud,” “Deuce,” “War Machine,” “Lick It Up,” and “Love Gun.” Check out the opening performance below!

As fans soaked in every second they had left with their favorite rock band, KISS rounded out their first set with “Black Diamond” before heading back to stage at the request of the audience roars. The show finale included a three-song encore, ultimately culminating with an outrageous performance of “Rock and Roll All Nite.”
