Brian May & My Chemical Romance Perform Together This Day in 2011

On August 26, 2011, My Chemical Romance played a concert for the books during their headlining slot at Reading Festival 2011. The American rock band was performing in Reading, England at Little Johns Farm in part of their World Contamination Tour, not only did they feature a live debut on the setlist that evening, they also featured a very special guest to close out the show with them. That guest? Queen's lead guitarist and rock icon, Brian May.

Diving into the full setlist from the August 26, 2011 concert, MCR opened their 16-track set with "Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na)" before playing their signature hit "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)." The band worked their way through songs lifted from their albums Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, The Black Parade and Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, in which they live debuted "S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W" lifted from the latter. Watch the live debut of "S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W" below.

After their performance of "S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W," the main set closed with the classic hit "Helena" before the band performed their 2-song encore. As previously stated, this was no ordinary encore as the MCR was joined by Queen's Brian May for a cover of "We Will Rock You" before performing "Welcome to the Black Parade" alongside May.
