July Talk Play 23-Song Setlist at Stardust Drive-In Concert

With drive-in concerts becoming the new normal for live music, we're seeing more and more bands pop up to play these alternative venues. The latest band to join the drive-in wave? Canadian alt-rockers July Talk who played their first live shows (outside of a livestream on April 25) on August 12th and 13th at the Stardust Drive-In in Sharon, Ontario.

A quick look at both of the setlists from the August 12th and August 13th shows reveals the band played identical sets both evenings. They opened with "Governess Shadow" and played a total of 23 songs each night. The main set closed with "The Garden" while the 3-song encore included a cover of The Ink Spots' "I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire" and a cover of McLusky's "To Hell With Good Intentions" before ending the show with "Picturing Love."

The band played 8 songs in total from their 2020 album Pray For It, 7 songs from their self-titled 2012 release and 6 songs from their 2016 effort, Touch. Their performance of "Paper Girl" featured new lyrics while several performances included Kyla Charter and James Baley including "Champagne" and "Touch."
