Primus kicked off their A Tribute to Kings 2021 tour dates last night at Ford Amphitheater in Nampa, Idaho. The fall dates feature support from Battles, The Sword, and Black Mountain and will wrap on October 25 in Phoenix, Arizona. Primus will be performing a two part set consisting of their original material during the first half of the setlist, and Rush's fifth studio album, A Farewell to Kings, in full during the second portion of the set.
Rush opened their tour kick off setlist with "Those Damned Blue-Collar Tweekers" from their 1991 release Sailing the Seas of Cheese. Tracks from Brown Album, Pork Soda, Tales from the Punchbowland and their debut studio album Frizzle Fry were performed within the first 8-songs of the set. The second portion of the set consisted of Rush's A Farewell to Kings. The band performed a two-song encore of "Wynona's Big Brown Beaver" and "Southbound Pachyderm." See the full setlist below:
