Eras Tour Update: Live Debuts from the Archives

Taylor Swift closed out another stretch of her Eras Tour this weekend in Warsaw, Poland. Since the release of the artist’s 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, Taylor has added the album as an official era on her tour. We’ve been following along as she’s debuted a Herculean number of songs from the deluxe album.

The setlist is comprised of ten acts: Lover, Fearless, Red, Speak Now, Reputation, Folklore/Evermore (combined), 1989, TTPD, “Surprise Songs,” Midnights. At each show, Swift plays a two-song arc of acoustic songs from her oeuvre, where she has surprised and delighted fans with TTPD live debuts, deep-cuts, covers, duets, and tour debuts of songs from past albums.

What’s special about these shows?

While Taylor didn’t debut any new TTPD songs, she debuted a number of never-before-played songs from earlier albums. At Hamburg night one, she played a mashup of two debuts songs– “We Were Happy” à la Fearless and “happiness” à la evermore. The megastar also live debuted “Run” from Red in Hamburg and “Don’t You” from Fearless in Munich.

The three shows in Warsaw marked Taylor’s first time headlining in Poland. While she didn’t debut any songs in Warsaw, she still made the sold-out shows special. Swift started night two by greeting fans in Polish.

The TTPD live debut count is still at a whopping 27 songs with 17 shows left of the Eras Tour. We have one more update coming to you when she wraps the European leg at the end of August.

Who knows, maybe I’ll do a total tally of all live debuts at the end of the tour. Let me know in the comments if that’s a breakdown you’re itching for! (I’ll probably do it anyway because I’m a nerd and committed to this Eras Tour Updates ride).
