Reading and Leeds covered the holiday weekend with lineups that brought Chappell Roan, Hozier, Leigh-Anne, Enter Shikari, Becky Hill, and Travis Scott to both sites among many others.
Each festival staged the same roster on different days, continuing the long-running twin-festival format that drew more than 190,000 fans across Reading’s Richfield Avenue and Leeds’ Bramham Park in England.
The Leeds Festival was first introduced in 1999 as a northern counterpart to the long-running Reading Festival, giving fans in Yorkshire their own major summer event without having to travel four hours to the south - or a three-hour train ride.
The festival takes place at Bramham Park, a historic estate just outside of Leeds whose 18th-century grounds and sprawling fields are large enough to hold nearly 100,000 attendees.

This allows for extensive camping areas, multiple stages, and the late-night entertainment zones that have become a bonus that few fests can boast. Unlike Reading, which is set in a riverside urban space, Bramham Park offers a more secluded and expansive backdrop, turning the estate into a pop-up tent city celebrating the magical miracle of music.
One way to celebrate is to cover and these five artists delivered to the fans at Leeds covers that fans instantly sang along with, while the groups tried to put their special spin on them.
Bring Me The Horizon, "Wonderwall"
With Oasis back on the scene, Bring Me The Horizon seemingly learned "Wonderwall" in order to properly pay tribute through their summer festival spree.
BMTH aren't really ones to cover anyone, so Noel and Liam should feel flattered. Outside of the 48 times they've covered Slipknot's "Eyeless," the South Yorkshire group has never sung another group's tune more than once.
Feels like if you're going to break a trend, covering Oasis in the summer of 2025 as you cruise through Europe might be the way to go.

The band heads to the US for a short swing starting in September. Grab tickets on the BMTH website.

The Kooks with Rebel Wilson, "Gangsta's Paradise"
"Gangsta's Paradise" is one of those unfortunate songs whose parody is better than the original, even though there's nothing wrong with the OG.
Coolio’s 1995 hit for the Michelle Pfeiffer film Dangerous Minds, topped the charts in more than a dozen countries and was Billboard’s #1 single of the year. It won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Solo Performance, and the MTV Video Music Award for Best Rap Video.
Yet, Weird Al's "Amish Paradise" is better, as is the video. Respectfully.
Therefore to cover the lesser paradise takes that much more effort. Which is probably why The Kook's had Rebel Wilson on stage at Leeds to bring in what we love about greater: the LOLs.
The Kooks, who had never covered Coolio before, play in Spain this weekend and get the rest of the summer off. Once rested, they will have a mini UK tour in October. Grab tix off their website.

Royel Otis with Sophie Ellis-Bextor, "Murder on the Dancefloor"
The indie-pop duo Royel Otis (Royel Maddell and Otis Pavlovic) are Aussies from Sydney who first covered Sophie Ellis-Bextor's post-disco classic last year at the Party in the Paddock and have kept it in their setlist over 100 times.
This weekend, though, was the first time they'd ever performed it with the original singer.

"I'm not sure any of you were born when I first played here," Sophie laughed after she was introduced, referring to her debut at the festival in 1998, which meant one would have to be over 27 to have seen her perform.
Royel Otis now heads to North America for much of Sept and October. Grab tix off their website.

Leigh-Anne covered three Little Mix tunes
When some artists split from their former group, they keep those songs far from their sets. Others embrace them.
Near the end of her Reading set she knocked out a trio of songs from her not-so-distant past when she performed “Sweet Melody,” “Touch,” and "Power" which the crowd sang along with.
Earlier in the set she also covered Bob Marley's "Could You Be Loved," which was also well-received.
Suki Waterhouse covers Oasis' "Don’t Look Back In Anger"
Does everyone love Oasis right now? Like even more than normal?
Just like you and I, when Suki went to a concert the other night she was completely inspired. The Brit told the crowd at Reading that she wanted to bring that spirit to the stage with her.
“I came back to London and had to go and see Oasis. It was the best fucking show,” she explained to the screaming audience who just last year got a pretty good idea that the much-anticipated reunion was going to happen.
“Shall we do an Oasis cover?” she asked. It was the 14th time she'd covered Oasis. It likely won't be the last.
Suki will be touring Europe for a little while longer, then she heads to North America where she will be opening for Laufey. Get your tix on her website because that's a combo you don't want to miss.
