Harry Styles returned to Madison Square Garden Wednesday night (8/26) with a plan to double down on an already-epic residency.
Four years ago Styles sold out 15 nights at MSG for his Love On Tour residency, a feat that earned him a permanent banner in the Garden rafters.
This year he will double that effort doing 30 shows at the famed venue between now and Halloween. And sorry, LA, this will his only US dates on the Together, Together Tour for 2026, so if you want to see what takes place in person, you better book a red-eye.
“I had the great privilege of playing this building for the first time when I was 18 years old,” Styles, now 32, told the crowd.
He shared that an MSG staffer recalled that teen Harry got out of the vehicle that chauffeured him to the building and he kissed the ground, proclaiming, “I made it to Madison Square Garden!”
It definitely added a different layer to his latest album title, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally. It's his his fourth solo release after parting ways with One Direction in 2015.
“It is not lost on me what it means to play here, and I am truly honored to be back here," he told the sold out arena, home of the reigning NBA champion New York Knicks.
Kiss All the Time is Harry's fourth straight #1 album on the Billboard 200, which also topped the album charts in the UK, his home.
No disrespect to his birthplace, but the MSG shows are not just reruns of his previous stint of shows across the pond.
Things are different.
Soon after Jamie xx opened the show, instead of waiting a long period of time as the roadies cleared off the stage, Harry and his large ensemble appeared on the in-the-round stage at the center of the arena in minutes.
One of the classy things Harry did decked out in a white dress shirt, matching white tie, and black slacks happened during his encore.
To pay tribute to the beloved country star Dolly Parton, he paused his performance to play a tape of her singing "I Will Always Love You." As the music rolled he encouraged the crowd to join in.
"Sing it out, New York," he said.
Harry is now on the shortlist of acts that have booked long engagements at arenas over a relatively short period of time and sold them out.

This is a record that will take a lot of effort to break.

Scary, Sporty, Posh and Baby spiced up the lives of 400,000 fans when they performed 17 nights at the O2 for their reunion shows.
