Childish Gambino has been forced to postpone the remaining dates of his “This Is America” tour due to an apparent injury.
After completing stops in Chicago, Houston, Philly, New York and D.C., Gambino was scheduled to perform in Oakland, Seattle, Austin and more.
His appearance at the Voodoo Music and Arts Experience in New Orleans on October 27th is going forward as planned, but his other festival appearance at Austin City Limits Music Festival is canceled.
Travis Scott and Justice are stepping in for his headlining performances; Justice will headline both Saturdays (October 6th and 13th) and Travis Scott will headline both Sundays (October 7th and 14th) alongside Metallica and the Arctic Monkeys.
Fans, don't get disappointed just yet–the Live Nation press release states, “Fans with a Weekend Two Saturday 1-Day Ticket may exchange at no charge for a Weekend Two Sunday 1-Day Ticket by contacting Front Gate Tickets. Exchanges must be requested by Tuesday, October 2 at 11:59pm CT.”
The cause of injury hasn’t yet been addressed, but Gambino injured his foot during his set in Dallas this past weekend, causing him to cut his performance short.
A fan captured this video of Gambino performing "Worldstar" before ending the show early:
A few days later, Wednesday's concert at the Forum in Los Angeles was postponed.
Following the release of his EP Summer Pack in July, the singer announced that this tour would be his last as "Childish Gambino."
