Live Photos and Highlights: Interpol at Orpheum Theatre in Boston

Interpol has officially embarked on a world tour following the release of their sixth studio album, Marauder, which debuted at No. 23 on the Billboard 200 and already has some nominations for Best Album.
Interpol rolled into the Orpheum Theatre in Boston last night and was greeted by a sea of fans decked out in band t-shirts.
The set was a mix of older tracks and newer hits: the band kicked off with 2004’s “Not Even Jail” and 2014’s “All the Rage Back Home” followed by new songs like “The Rover” and “If You Really Love Nothing” (which both have dope music videos, watch below.)

Interpol also played fan favorites “NYC” and “Slow Hands” and performed a three song encore of “Lights,” “Evil” and “Obstacle 1.”

The post-punk powerhouses played a pivotal role in New York City’s return to rock in the early 2000s and their initial work helped set the scene for future rockers.
Despite being one of the most notable garage rock pioneers, Interpol never fell susceptible to the media or fame, keeping a relatively low profile yet maintaining a die-hard fan base.
Each album embodies a different sound and a different vibe. In a recent interview about the new album, frontman Paul Bank said a theme throughout Marauder is “accountability.”
The band just wrapped their European tour and it seems like they’re starting off their North American leg on a strong foot.
