Halsey Kicked Off HFK Tour On Her Birthday in 2017 with 20 Songs

Ashley Nicolette Frangipane—better known as singer-songwriter Halsey—turns 26 years young today, September 29th. To celebrate we popped into the setlist archives to explore a 20-song setlist she played three years ago on her 23rd birthday.

The show in Uncasville, Connecticut was the kickoff to Halsey's hopeless fountain kingdom World tour, her second ever headlining tour. Although tour kickoffs are often a landmine for live debuts, H had unveiled a good chunk of them at her (more intimate) record release show for HFK in June. See that setlist here.

So what stood out, aside from the leveled-up production, lighting, the costume changes, the confetti, the pyro?

There was the splashy b-stage performance of “Lie” and “Don’t Play”

The VIP-voted for “Drive”  and the live debut of three HFK songs, “Alone” “Sorry” and Angel on Fire." See the full birthday setlist:

The “Bad at Love” singer also got a surprise by her then-boyfriend G Eazy during the show.

Being the sweetheart she is Halsey likes to give her fans presents on her birthday. Today that gift is a music video for “929.” Take a look:

She also released a deluxe version of Manic, that included two new songs.

Happy Birthday, Halsey!
