The Smashing Pumpkins Headline Riot Fest w/ 20-Song Setlist

Chicago's annual major music event - Riot Fest, made it's grand return to Douglass Park Golf Course in Chicago this past weekend. The 3-day festival kicked-off Thursday, September 16 and ran through Sunday, September 19. The lineups for each day of the festival were stacked with artists from a multitude of genres. Morrissey, Slipknot, Patti Smith and many more legendary acts headlined the festival on different days. On Friday, September 17, The Smashing Pumpkins headlined along with Coheed and Cambria, Lupe Fiasco, and NOFX.

The Smashing Pumpkins' 20-song Riot Fest setlist included a handful of rarities and live debuts. The band performed "The Colour of Love," "Wyttch," and "Ramona" from their eleventh studio album Cyr, which dropped November 27, 2020, for the very first time live. "Crush" from 1991's Gish, made it's appearance on the setlist for the first time since 2008. "Shame" from 1998's Adore and "United States" from 2007's Zeitgeist wrapped up the performance. Both tracks had not been played live in over 5 years.
