Nine Inch Nails Invite Former Members on Stage for Cleveland Show

On Friday, September 23, NIN went back to Cleveland's Rock Hall and did a special Q&A to honor their 2020 induction. It was a belated celebration, as COVID squashed their planned hometown shows in both 2020 and 2021.

They made up for it on Saturday night (September 24) at The Blossom Music Center. The band took the stage at 9:25PM and ripped through a visually and sonically immersive 23-song setlist. The last six songs of the set were EXTRA special, though. After "The Frail," NIN alumni - keyboardist Charlie Clouser, drummer Chris Vrenna, guitarist Danny Lohner, and guitarist Richard Patrick - joined the ensemble.

As a nine-piece they performed "Eraser" "Wish" "Sin" and "Gave Up" before covering Filter's "Hey Man Nice Shot" for probably the first and last time ever.

For the casual NIN fan - a short history lesson, via Reddit:

The all-era incarnation of Nine Inch Nails closed the show with "Head Like a Hole." No encore, no "Hurt" cover. See the full setlist from that night + some local coverage for more color on this historical show.
