Get your sign of the horns ready, because Bullet For My Valentine and Trivium have announced an epic co-headlining tour for 2025! Joined by special guests August Burns Red, the Poisoned Ascendancy tour will be a metal mashup that no heavy music fan can miss. They’re set to kick off on March 30th in Vancouver, BC, continuing through May 18th in Raleigh, NC.
“This is a celebration for the old fans that were there at 9 am at Ozzfest to catch a couple songs from a band in Iron Maiden shirts,” Trivium said in a statement. “It’s for the new fans that have been listening to the deep cuts but never caught them on a recent tour. And lastly, it’s for both BFMV and us to take a moment to reflect on how amazing these 20 years have been, how fast they’ve gone, and how important these albums are for both of our bands.”
What albums are they referring to? Bullet For My Valentine’s debut, The Poison, and Trivium’s sophomore effort, Ascendancy, of course, both of which turn 20 years old in 2025. These projects were instrumental to the careers of both groups, helping them top the Billboard charts and become some of the biggest names in metal. Two decades later, these singles are as iconic as they were in 2005, and will be done proper justice on the Poisoned Ascendancy tour.
What emo kid doesn’t remember the pure adrenaline they felt when Bullet For My Valentine’s “Tears Don’t Fall” played on KROQ before school in the mid-2000s? And can a metalcore lover truly hear the opening notes to Trivium’s “Like Light to the Flies” without screaming along and imagining the breakdown? We didn’t think so.
