British alt-rockers Wolf Alice kicked off their tour last night (9/10) at the Buckhead Theater in Atlanta. The headlining run supports their newest release, The Clearing, and last night's sprawling 25-song setlist included 10 of the 11 album tracks.
Hitting the stage at 9:10PM, the band opened the show with the album's first track, "Thorns" which was live debuted in May at a show in Kilkenny, Ireland along with lead single, "Bloom Baby Bloom" (read about that show here).
To the fans utter delight, after a 7-year disappearance, "Your Loves Whore" was back in the set.
After playing their newest ode to female friendships, "Just Two Girls" (which has a brand new music video starring Lucy Boynton), Wolf Alice slid into the live debut of folk-tinged track, "Leaning Against The Wall."
"Bread Butter Tea Sugar" got its first-ever performance mid-set, right before the foursome unleashed the chaotic, bratty vibes of "Yuk Foo" and "Play The Greatest Hits."
After the atmospheric "Silk", singer Ellie Roswell took a seat at the edge of the stage to live debut the piano-driven confessional "Play It Out."
Wolf Alice touched on their entire four-album discography during the show, closing the main set out with "The Sofa" and coming back to a two-song encore of "Moaning Lisa Smile" and "Don't Delete The Kisses."

Guitarist Joff Oddie is sitting out this tour, as he awaits the arrival of his first born child. John Victor is filling in for him.
The Clearing tour resumes with a two-night stay at DC's 9:30 club. More dates and details below. Many shows are sold out, but you can get your tickets here.
