Out With: Touche Amore Night One at Teragram Ballroom

I caught up with the incomparable Touche Amore yesterday at the Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles. The band were set to play the first of two consecutive nights in their home town, wrapping up their Fall tour, both with different supporting bands. The first night with Canadian punk bank Single Mothers and Fort Lauderdale Florida's Gouge Away. The second night (tonight)'s lineup includes City of Caterpillar and Thou.

True to form, the guys were nice enough to let me document their set, and take photos during sound check:

Touche Amore delivered their high-energy set, with fans diving off the stage, flying across each other and hopefully landing somewhere in the crowd, sweaty but unscathed and still singing every word. The night's setlist was a mixture of older tracks and newer songs from their latest release, Stage Four.

As a photographer and a music fan, I find myself at shows nearly every night. From intimate gigs to concerts at major music venues, and everything in between. If a band I like is playing, I'll be there with my camera. Without getting too much into personal details, shooting this show held a significance to me that sticks out from any other show I've been to, and I won't forget it.

Like a wave, like the rapture

Something you love is gone, something you love is gone

Like a wave, like the rapture

Something you love is gone, something you love is gone

Someone you love is gone, someone you love is gone

It leaves you fractured
