Queens Of The Stone Age Stop Fight During Final Show of the Tour

Don’t mess with Josh Homme. Period.

The frontman for Queens Of The Stone Age had some harsh, but necessary words to share on stage for two knuckleheads getting into a fight at their Madison Square Garden show on Tuesday night in New York City. After playing, “Smooth Sailing,” from 2003’s ...Like Clockwork, the singer went onto say, "What's going on? Is this something like a fight? We're not here to fight. If you want to fight, stick your head up you’re a** and fight for air — and get the f*ck out." Heated by the situation, Homme added, “We're here to dance, everybody's going to get laid, and we don't want security to be all over the place... So don't be a d*ck. We're not the soundtrack to you fighting, we're the soundtrack to you f*cking. If you don't like that, get the f*ck out." The hearty dialogue received a round of applause with the night continuing on in high-energy fashion.

Josh Homme Breaks Up Fight + "Domesticated"

The rockers performed a respectable amount of new cuts from their latest album Villains, including "Feet Don't Fail Me,” “The Way You Used to Do," "The Evil Has Landed," "Domesticated Animals," "Villains of Circumstance," and the first encore song "Head Like a Haunted House," which the band have been adding to their new shows since making its live debut on September 7 Festival Pier at Penn's Landing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Jams off of 2005's Lullabies to Paralyze and 2007's Era Vulgaris were included into the rockers’ setlist, with fan-favorites "Little Sister," "Sick, Sick, Sick," and "Make It Wit Chu” with Josh forgetting the words initially. Toward the end of their set, opening band Royal Blood while in the mosh pit, surfed their way onto the stage with QOTSA. Both bands took a final bow with the electric crowd passionately cheering them on.
