Fleetwood Mac Kickoff Fall 2018 Tour With Rarities + Live Debuts

A new Fleetwood Mac is in town, and by new we mean old songs are being resurrected as if they were written just yesterday. They kicked off their first tour without OG member Lindsey Buckingham on October 3rd at BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The 24-song setlist showcased both the band's legendary history, and their two newest band members, Mike Campbell (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers) and Neil Finn (Crowded House.)
After Stevie Nicks warmly greeted the crowd, the band went into "The Chain," "Little Lies" and "Dreams" for a golden opening. Neil Finn took the leads for Rumours' "Second Hand News" and nailed it. Nicks also showed her chops off by taking the lead in "Black Magic Women," a booming hit that hasn't been performed live by the band since 1987.

As the historical night went forth, the band were on a roll as they picked out missed selects from their abundant vault. Kiln House's "Tell Me All the Things You Do" and Mystery to Me's "Hypnotized" saw stage time for the first time since 1977! Finn took the lead vocals for both those. "Storms" and "First Monday Morning" hadn't touched an FM setlist since 2009 until now. Another deep cut was "Isn't It Midnight," a track they hadn't performed since 1990. This was truly a night for the diehards.
The set wasn't exclusively FM songs. They performed "I Got You" by Finn's band Split Enz and "Don't Dream It's Over" by his other band Crowded House, a very classic bop that FM simply slayed as Nicks paired up with Finn. "Rhiannon," "Gold Dust Woman" and "Go Your Own Way" were also included in the magical evening.
Their three-song encore was a soiree within itself. They returned to the stage with a heartwarming dedication to their late friend Tom Petty before going into "Free Fallin'"and then moved into Rumours' "Don't Move." They ended for good on a live debut of 1995's "All Over Again," featuring a poignant duet by Christine McVie and Nicks.
"Well it's it's time to move on to the rain / And finally break the chain / In spite of the heartaches / And troubles in love / I'd do it all over again."
