Setlist Psychic: Good Charlotte's "Generation Rx" Tour

Tomorrow night, Good Charlotte’s Generation Rx tour will kick off in Mexico City and WE CAN’T WAIT so we’re going to do a bit of setlist speculation—or manifesting, even. The tour supports GC’s seventh studio album, so we expect to hear a good chunk of new tunes in addition to the tried and true hits. Regardless, let’s go ahead and break it down.
Good Charlotte - Prayers
Generation Rx tracks you’ll hear:
  • “Prayers"
  • "Actual Pain"
These are the only two album tracks they’ve played to date, but we could definitely see the title track as a walking-on-stage intro, maybe not even the full song. From there, we’re betting on live debuts of “Leech” and “Shadowboxer” for their energy and “Cold Song” for it’s vulnerability. Every song on Generation Rx has the potential to really POP live. And now I sound like a press release, so we’ll move on.
Youth Authority tracks you’ll hear:
I’m betting they’ll keep the hopeful optimism up with “Life Changes” and “The Outfield.”
Cardiology tracks you’ll hear:
  • “Like It’s Her Birthday”
  • “Silver Screen Romance”
Good Charlotte - The River
Good Morning Revival tracks you’ll hear:
  • “The River”
  • “Dance Floor Anthem”
And sure, OK, “Keep Your Hands Off My Girl” even though I’m ready for that one to be sent to retirement.
The Chronicles of Life and Death tracks you’ll hear:
Hmm, only betting on “I Just Wanna Live”
The Young and The Hopeless tracks you’ll hear:
Seeing as that I’m really holding out for a 2022 reunion tour for this album, I could be very biased. For sure “The Anthem” and “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous” and likely “Girls and Boys.” Maybe “Hold On” for this tour. It just feels right.
Self-titled tracks you’ll hear:
“Little Things” hands down, maybe “Motivation Proclamation” and just for MYSELF, “Festival Song” because I’ve loved that song since the day I heard it.
And there you have it! Have fun at the show! If you haven’t nabbed tickets yet, a full list of tour dates is below.
