Exploring the Songs on Céline Dion's Courage World Tour

Céline Dion has embarked on her Courage World Tour, in support of her forthcoming fifteenth studio album of the same name, out November 15.
The tour marks her first time on the road in more than a decade. It began September 18 at Centre Vidéotron in Quebec City, and the Canadian songstress is slated to visit cities throughout Canada, the US, Europe and a few cities in the Middle East through September 2020.
Cue up our Courage Tour Setlist Playlist on Spotify, and keep reading for a closer look at some of the songs Céline is playing on this tour!

"I'm Alive"

"I'm Alive" is featured on Céline's sixth English-language album – 2002's A New Day Has Come.
The song was released in August 2002 as the album's second single and was featured in the movie Stuart Little 2.
Céline performed this song every night during her A New Day Las Vegas Residency at Caesar's Palace in 2003, and she added an acoustic rendition of it to her Vegas residency in 2015.
She also included "I'm Alive" in her setlists during her 2017 European tour and her 2018 tour.

"Beauty and the Beast"

Fun fact: actress and singer Paige O'Hara (who voices Belle in the animated movie) wanted to record the pop version of "Beauty and the Beast" for the film credits.
Disney decided not to go with O'Hara because she was "too Broadway," and instead, brought in Céline, who, at that time, was relatively unknown to American audiences.
She was hesitant to take on the project because she had been fired from recording a song for An American Tail: Fievel Goes West.

"My Heart Will Go On"

"My Heart Will Go On" is widely received as Céline's signature song, and is one of the best-selling singles of all time.
The emotional ballad topped charts everywhere upon its release (and for years after), due to its association with what would become the highest grossing movie ever, Titanic (of course, James Cameron eventually topped that with Avatar and it was recently de-throned by Avengers: End Game).
Featured in the film's end credits and on Céline's fifth English-language album, 1997's Let's Talk About Love, "My Heart Will Go On" reached No. 1 in several countries, including Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, the US and more.

"Pour que tu m'aimes encore (So That You'll Love Me Again)"

According to Céline herself, "Pour que tu m'aimes encore" is the best French song of her career.
Featured on her French album D'eux (in the US, it was released under The French Album), the song dominated the charts in France for 12 weeks and became 1995's best-selling single.
The surprising thing about this song? It's her 21st most-played song ever, clocking in at 180 times – for comparison, "My Heart Will Go On" has been performed live 436 times– but I'm sure that will change on this tour!
