Amorphis Kickoff 30th Anniversary Shows with 11-Song Set

After rescheduling and reorganizing several times due to COVID regulations, heavy metal titans Amorphis finally got to kickoff their 30th anniversary concert celebration last night, October 14, in Helsinki at Tavastia.
The concert celebration will span three nights and each night will feature two sets, an early one and a late one. The two sets allow for people to properly distance while in the venue, adhering to Finland's health guidelines.
The setlist for each night is based on a different decade. Last night started off with the most recent decade, 2010-2019. They worked 11 songs into the set, all released from the last 10 years. It featured cuts off their last four albums - they have 13 records under their belts from the past 30 years.
The concert fired off with "Under the Red Cloud" and featured a lot of songs off both that album and Queen of Time. Circle favorites "Nightbird's Song" and "The Wanderer" made their way into the middle of the set, along with "You I Need." They wrapped up the show with "The Bee."

Tonight they return to the stage at Tavastia to perform songs from the 2000-2009 era, and the final night, October 16, their setlist will feature cuts from 1990-1999, an era where their two most performed albums were birthed - Tales From the Thousand Lakes and Elegy.
