BTS Played 23 Songs for "Map of the Soul ON:E" Livestream Concert

BTS lifted spirits around the world over the weekend with their massive Map of the Soul ON:E livestream concert event. The show was streamed for two nights, October 10 and 11, at Olympics Gymnastics Arena in Seoul.

The event was their second online venture, and eight times the scale of the first concert, with two massive stages and out-of-this-world tech tricks, including augmented reality. The concerts drew in 993,000 viewers from 191 countries.

“We’ve been working on this concert for almost one year, since we finished our ‘Speak Yourself’ tour. We feel bad that the concert could not go as planned in this unexpected situation, so we prepared this un-tact event.” - RM.

The 23-song concert fired off with an inspiring message during the animated video intro by President Kim Namjoon - "We'll find a way, we always have. If there's no way, we'll redraw the map."

Then the boys of BTS went into the first song of the evening "ON." The set was peppered with some of the ARMY's favorite licks like "Dionysus," "Black Swan," and "DNA." Three of the songs were performed as remixes, including "Boy With Luv" and main set ender "No More Dream." Between the songs were five different Intermission Interlude videos.

To make the ARMY feel connected to the band and each other, the massive screens projected behind the stage showcased hundreds of fans watching the concert from home. Fans got the option to watch the show from six different multi-view screens.

To make the evening extra special, BTS ended the concert with two encores. This was the only time the setlist differed between the two nights. The first encore for night one saw BTS perform "Butterfly," "RUN," and "Dynamite," while night two offered "Spring Day" and "IDOL" before "Dynamite."

Both nights had "We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal" as the finale and final encore. Check out the setlist here:

“Our language is music, and our maps, dreams. In different languages we will sing different songs, marching together forever. BTS is not the seven of us, but the story of you, me and all of us.” - RM

BTS will be releasing their brand new album BE on November 20, 2020.
