SEVENTEEN Kick Off U.S. Tour with Sold Out Show in Tacoma

K-Pop superstars SEVENTEEN embarked on the U.S. leg of their [NEW_] World Tour this past weekend, performing to a crowd of more than 15,000 fans at the Tacoma Dome in Washington. While four of the thirteen group members are currently fulfilling their service in the Korean military, the remaining nine put together a show to remember with a setlist consisting of 33 songs from their decade-long career.

SEVENTEEN began the concert with “HBD” and “THUNDER,” both off of their fifth studio album HAPPY BURSTDAY, released earlier this year to commemorate their tenth anniversary. The first act of the was closed by “Domino” and “Network Love,” marking this the first time all four of these songs were performed in the United States (and also the first time outside of Asia.)

"HBD" Performance

Next up was the beginning of the members’ solo songs, including Dino’s “Trigger,” Jun’s “Gemini,” and Vernon’s “Shining Star.” The boys continued on with four more group performances before finishing off the solo pieces with Joshua’s “Fortunate Change,” DK’s “Happy Virus,” Seungkwan’s “Raindrops,” The8’s “Skyfall,” Mingyu’s “Shake it Off,” and the leader S.Coups’ “Jungle.”

"Trigger" Performance

The closing act of the main setlist consisted of SEVENTEEN’s all-time fan favorite tracks, like “HOT,” “HIGHLIGHT,” “HIT,” and finally “Rock with you” each with different kinds of high-energy choreography and impressive synchronization that the group has been known for since their debut.

"HIT" Performance

However, the show certainly didn’t stop there. In fact, the encore itself lasted for 12 songs total, one of the longest planned encores for a K-Pop show you will probably ever see. SEVENTEEN made sure that the audience wouldn’t leave the venue without hearing some of the most iconic songs in their discography, even older tracks like “CLAP,” “Left & Right.” and “Snap Shoot,” And the famously never-ending “VERY NICE.”
