Legendary rock pioneers The Rolling Stones may have some big touring plans for the UK in the new year. The bands last notable live shows in the United Kingdom were nearly five years ago, in 2013 when the iconic group played two Hyde Parks shows and headlined the popular Glastonbury music festival.

This good new for UK fans follows some bad news from the rock n’ roll legends with announcement a few month back that their 2018 European ‘No Filter’ Tour would not be visiting the UK this year. They were hoping to reveal dates for 2018 but were not able to play the UK saying that this was “due to lack of available venues because of sporting fixtures”.

Recently however, frontman Mick Jagger has revealed to The Sun that the band will be ‘getting plans into place’ for some massive shows based in The United Kingdom as soon as next year. The singer has been reportedly meeting with UK show promoters to secure dates in 2018 which will likely include a string of large stadium shows.

In an interview with The Sun, Jagger revealed:

"We were disappointed not to perform in the UK on our recent jaunt and we’re looking forward to getting plans in place to do so next year."
